About Zell, MO - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Zell is an unincorporated community within Ste. Genevieve Township, Missouri.  It is a small and lovely area with a rich history.  French settlers first made this land their home and, since then, it has grown but never lost its roots and deep ties to the French Colonials and the life that they led. The weather is seasonal meaning that it is warm in the summer and spring and cold in the winter.  However, Ste. Genevieve Township has an occasion and an activity for every season and every individual.’

Zell was first settled in 1798 by Pierre Charles Dehault Delassus Deluziere, and it was originally called the Prarie Gautier Tract. Evidence of the early French Catholic settlers is everywhere.  For instance, Saint Joseph Church is a must-see for any visitor, Catholic or not.  The beautiful art and stained glass, the stunning landscapes outside and the lovely cemetery all give you the feeling that you have stepped back in time.  Christmastime at the parish is particularly beautiful as the members file in from the cold and warm their bodies in the sanctuary as they join the priest in prayer and worship.

Within the township, the history and culture of those first settlers is celebrated everywhere.  It is particularly preserved in the town of Ste. Genevieve itself.  There, they have events all year round and in every season for kids, families and visitors to enjoy.  Their Holiday Christmas Festival celebrates the history and the present of this special part of Missouri.   Holiday themed music is performed, a Christmas parade and pictures with Santa are all a part of the fun to be had.  Each beautiful, warm May, the Ste. Genevieve Master Gardeners host their Garden Walk in the downtown historic district of the town. Residents and visitors tour private and public gardens and enjoy food, friends, music and fun.
