About Kelso, MO - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Kelso, Missouri is located three miles south of Scott City and occupies 0.32 square miles of land.  There are approximately 600 people living within this tiny, peaceful village. Kelso was initially called Spring Hill but changed its name in 1858, as there were other communities in the state that went by the same name.  This part of the country is idyllic, family-oriented and quintessentially American.  Big brick buildings, tall trees and lovely parks are all essential in making this Midwestern area a great place to live.  The weather is also very attractive for those who love to watch the seasons change.  The weather is hot in the summer and cold in the winter… and you can watch the leaves fall in autumn.  What else can you ask for?

The town is small but it does have one BIG claim to fame.  Ray’s Restaurant and Catering is considered one of the best places to eat in all of Southeastern Missouri.  They have an outdoor courtyard for warm spring or summer days as well as a banquet hall and a private dining facility where they serve delicious Italian American cuisine to locals, visitors and even brides and grooms!  They also have live bands and other entertainment often.  For such a tiny little village, they have a great hang out and eatery for everyone in the area to enjoy!

This area is rooted in its churches.  When people aren’t at home or at work, they are almost always at church.  In Kelso, you can find St. Augustine Catholic Church which is a place of worship and a historical landmark.  In short, it is definitely worth a visit, even for those who are not Catholic.  The church’s first service was held in 1878 and the history and beauty of the cathedral has been preserved so that it may still be enjoyed today.  Take shelter from a cold winter day and check out this little gem.
